Riding Lessons

Kellystown Riding School provides group and private lessons for rider of all standards from beginners to advanced. We have horses and ponies of various sizes and types to suit a wide range of riders to ensure that they get the best experience possible

Instructors

All of our instructors are qualified to at least British Horse Society AI level including myself

Facilities

We have excellent facilities to ensure that you get the most from your lesson including a large all weather sand arena and a grass field (weather dependent). We have a range of show jumping equipment so we can offer jump and flat lessons according to your ability.

Grooming and Stable Management

All clients are encouraged to learn how to groom a horse correctly and learn how to properly care for a horse in and out of the stable. Both Pony Camps and some lesson packages include comprehensive grooming and stable management teaching including assessment for the AIRE (Association of Irish Establishments) exams

Helmet Regulations

Only Helmets passing PAS 015, Snell E2001, ASNZS 3838 or ASTM 1163 may be worn by riders in Kellystown. The centre reserves the right to inspect your helmet before you mount a horse or pony.

  
Riding Lessons
We provide group and private riding lessons for riders of all standards. Childrens lessons are our speciality. We have horses and ponies of various sizes and types to suit a wide range of riders. There is max of 6 in a lesson so there is plenty of attention given to each rider. Its always colder up the mountains so make sure your child has warm clothes, gloves & raingear. We have riding hats & boots to borrow for free until you decide to buy your own.
Instructors
All of our instructors are BHS qualified, Garda Vetted, Child safe guarding 1,2 & 3. Phecc Occupational First Aid.
Pricelist
A single group lesson it is 45 for children and €55 for adults. Term rate is €39 for children and €49 for adults. Private lessons are €60 for 45 mins or €75 for 60 mins.
Autumn Term Saturdays 7th September to Saturday 21st of December.
Autumn Term Sundays 8th of September to Sunday 22ndof December.
